| Cemex System - Preparation and Application
Procedure
PREPARATION
- Strike the device lightly to release the powder
- Firmly press the push-knob to break the ampoule
- Transfer the liquid by pulling and pushing slowly the handle
(repeat more times the action till all the liquid is transferred)
- Hold the device and turn it upside-down to have it almost
vertical
- Firmly strike the device against the palm of the hand rotating
it by a quarter of a turn at each strike.
(go on performing such action for about 60-90 seconds in order
to have a homogeneous mass without lamps).
APPLICATION
Once finished the mixing, when the mass of cement is homogeneous
and liquid:
- Remove the cap and replace it with the
cannula (holding the device vertically)
- Fit the syringe on the gun (always holding the device vertically)
- By observing the meniscus of the cement, set the right moment
for inserting the cement (always holding the device vertically)
- When ready, begin to deliver the cement inside the bone
cavity

low viscosity bone cement indicated for the cementation of
the femoral canal.

low viscosity bone cement with gentamicin indicated when there
is risk or presence of infections caused by organism sensitive
to gentamicin.
Versions: 60g, 80g.
CEMEX SYSTEM FAST:
is the "quick-set" version of the Cemex System range,
designed for a quicker preparation of the bone cement.
Cemex System Fast is ideal for the cementation of both hip
and knee when the surgeon wants to reduce the surgical times.
Version: 70g.
